Jodi graduated Cum Laude from the Cecil C. Humphrey School of Law at University of Memphis after serving as an intern with the United States Attorney’s Office and the Child Advocacy Clinic. Prior to working for Peterson White, she worked for two large East Tennessee law firms where she served as lead attorney for the firms’ Family & Juvenile law sectors. Jodi has also practiced extensively in Workers’ Compensation Defense. However, her primary passion for the last nine years is and has been compassionately assisting families and/or children in crisis to successfully navigate through the legal system and some of the most difficult times of their lives.

Jodi is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, the Human Rights Campaign, the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Association of Women Attorneys.

Jodi was born in Kingston, Tennessee, where she continues to reside with her daughter, Evie.  Jodi attended the University of Tennessee as an undergraduate where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.  Thereafter, Jodi attended the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at Memphis State University where she graduated Cum Laude with multiple honors before returning to East Tennessee to practice.
Since that time, Jodi has practiced primarily domestic and juvenile law.  Jodi’s initial practice focused extensively on Anderson, Roane and Knox Counties, which continue to make up a large percentage of her client base. However, Jodi has also practiced in numerous other counties across the sate of Tennessee and, as such, is a confident and capable advocate in multiple court systems throughout the state of Tennessee. In her free time, Jodi enjoys traveling and experiencing new cities with her daughter, Evie, yoga and pilates, wine and cooking, reading and UFC, hockey and boxing.
