Michael began his legal career with Peterson White practicing insurance defense while representing multiple insurance companies and employers with regard to both workers’ compensation claims and personal injury claims. Prior to joining Peterson White in 2015, Michael served the east Tennessee community as a police officer for nearly ten years before he decided to follow his dream of becoming an attorney. During his tenure in law enforcement, Michael worked in a variety of capacities, including SWAT operations, gang intelligence, and patrol field training.

Michael is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Michael is a Tennessee native, having grown up in Maryville, TN and Knoxville, TN. He enjoys hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, swimming in the lakes, going to concerts at the historic Tennessee Theatre, having lunch in Market Square with his wife, and cheering on the Vols at Neyland Stadium. Simply put, Knoxville is home. He is an avid fan of both University of Tennessee football and Duke University basketball. He also enjoys listening to classic country music, hiking, cycling, golfing, reading, and playing his old Guild acoustic guitar.
