During law school at the University of Tennessee, Tricia worked as a a research assistant with a focus on public policy, including an environmental law project on alternative energy and mountaintop removal coal mining, and an animal law project on the confluence of domestic violence and animal abuse. She also served an Externship at the Southern Environmental Law Center in Asheville, North Carolina; as well as an Externship at the Tennessee Supreme Court. In addition, she has previously worked as a volunteer at Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. Tricia has been with Peterson White since November 2011.

Tricia is associated with the Tennessee Bar Association, Knoxville Bar Association, and East Tennessee Legal Association for Women (ETLAW).
An East Tennessee native, Tricia grew up in Oak Ridge. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for her undergraduate work in History, and then the University of Tennessee College of Law, earning her J.D. in 2010.
Tricia is married to Scott, a molecular biologist at the University of Tennessee. They have a son, Jack, who was born in 2015. They also share their home with a dog, Tiny, and two cats, Schroeder and Naomi. Tricia enjoys playing tennis, cheering on the New England Patriots, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
