Rebecca was born in Savannah, GA, but grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. She has lived in Tuscaloosa, AL for the past 13 years. Rebecca has experience defending clients in workers’ compensation, products liability and general liability disputes throughout Alabama and the southeast. She frequently represents service providers and product manufacturers in a wide array of issues, including complex liability and mass actions arising from environmental claims and toxic torts, claims involving industrial components and devices, construction defect/design claims, premises liability, general commercial litigation, and breach of contract and fraud claims.

This work has included taking and defending hundreds of depositions, handling discovery disputes, and preparing and arguing dispositive motions. Rebecca has successfully resolved cases at the summary judgment stage for several clients, including:

  • A manufacturer of material handling equipment in a mass action involving allegations by hundreds of plaintiffs for property damage and personal injuries resulting from pollution produced by a Portland cement plant in a rural Alabama county
  • A manufacturer and distributor of welding products in a mass action involving toxic exposure allegations from hundreds of plaintiffs claiming increased risk of cancer and physical injuries from inhalation of hexavalent chromium
  • Claims involving a manufacturer of trucking equipment alleged to have malfunctioned resulting in significant crush injuries
  • A trucking and roadway construction company alleged to have wantonly caused permanent injuries to driver who lost control of vehicle due to dangerous roadway conditions caused by the defendant company

Rebecca is a member of the Leadership Tuscaloosa Class of 2014, is the President-Elect of the Druid City Garden Project, is on the Board of Directors for the Arts & Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa, is a member of the Board of Directors for First Presbyterian Preschool, and is a Community Council and Community Impact Task Force member for the Junior League of Tuscaloosa.

Rebecca has a husband, Jonathan, and a son, Jack. She enjoys spending time with her family on the lake and outside in the water and in the woods. She also enjoys skiing and boating.
