Nicholas J. Peterson
About
Nick Peterson's legal career is defined by a wealth of experience and a dedication to providing exceptional representation to a wide range of clients. Since being licensed in Tennessee in 2001, Nick has represented insurance companies, self-insured businesses, and individuals across numerous legal areas, including premises liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, landlord/tenant issues, and product liability. His ability to navigate complex legal matters with precision and strategy has made him a trusted advocate in his field.
Nick’s expertise extends beyond Tennessee’s state courts. He is admitted to practice before all courts of record in Tennessee, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, the Tennessee Supreme Court, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, Nick is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and skilled attorney.
A proud member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Mid South Workers' Compensation Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the Tennessee Self-Insured Association, Nick stays active in the legal community, continually refining his skills and knowledge.
Though Nick’s professional accomplishments are impressive, his roots run deep in Tennessee. Originally from eastern Nebraska, Nick’s childhood saw him living in Omaha, Kansas City, and Memphis before he settled in East Tennessee in 1994 to attend college and law school at the University of Tennessee. He has called the area home ever since.
Outside of his legal career, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, and their three children. Whether cheering on his kids at sports events or supporting their artistic pursuits, Nick’s family is his heart. When not involved in family activities, he enjoys working on his cars, indulging in auto racing, hobby farming, and tackling home repair projects – all of which reflect his hands-on, problem-solving nature.
